The Role
As a Carpet & Upholstery Specialist, you will be the expert in restoring and maintaining the beauty and longevity of our clients’ carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture. This role requires a meticulous approach, technical skill, and a deep understanding of various fabric types and cleaning methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specialized Cleaning: Perform deep cleaning, stain removal, and deodorization of carpets, area rugs, and various upholstered items (sofas, chairs, curtains, etc.).
- Fabric Assessment: Identify fabric types (natural, synthetic, blends) and determine the most appropriate and safest cleaning methods and solutions.
- Equipment Operation: Proficiently operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment such as hot water extractors, dry cleaning machines, rotary scrubbers, and spotters.
- Client Consultation: Provide expert advice to clients on carpet and upholstery care, maintenance, and protection.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets the "Swift Standard" for quality, including thorough drying and inspection to prevent damage or re-soiling.
- Chemical Handling: Safely handle and mix cleaning solutions according to manufacturer guidelines and company safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in professional carpet and upholstery cleaning.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of various fabric types, cleaning agents, and stain removal techniques.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in operating and maintaining professional carpet and upholstery cleaning machinery.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for detail to ensure thorough cleaning and stain removal without damaging materials.
- Communication: Clear communication skills for interacting with clients and explaining processes.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to handle and maneuver heavy equipment, and perform physically demanding tasks.
